Heavy Duty Rudder Cable Crimps, 4 Pack

NOT your normal rudder cable crimp! For use with Heavy Duty 3/32 inch stainless steel rudder cable only.

Use as a Nicopress sleeve: Crimp the swage by squeezing it very tightly with a Rudder Cable Crimper Cutter Tool or Vice Grips. You may need to squeeze it a couple times. Carefully cut off the waste end of the cable close to the swage. If you placed a second swage on the cable it can be slipped over the frayed end and squeezed in place, covering the sharp wires, and adding extra security. Alternatively: Wind some duct tape over the frayed end if necessary. Same crimps as copper verson Walden Kayaks part number 1403.
